Fuck My Alarm Clock!
Sometimes your alarm just doesn’t go off, or you sleep through it because you were up late “studying” the night before. Don’t just roll out of bed though, take a second to fix your face before you jump out the door. Here are our 4 essential late-start items
Tresmme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo:use: Transform limp, lifeless locks into healthy, full-bodied hair when you skip a shampoo. The Mineral Clay and Citrus formula removes oil and odor that weighs hair down, so you can have instant salon-quality volume without a drop of water. If you hair is so oily that all it will do is lay flat spray some of this in and then comb out, absorbs the oils that keep bed head looking nasty while adding a citrus scent. Style accordingly after. We found that this shampoo leaves hair pliable so it saves the step of needing any other products to shape your hair.price: $5.29 at Target
Colgate Wisp:use: single-use mini toothbrush with a breath-freshening bead that allows you to have a clean, fresh mouth anywhere, anytime – no water or rinsing required. If you’re really so late that you can’t even wipe a toothbrush across your teeth, pick up one of these. The bead in the middle is similar to a breath freshening strip, but combined with the soft brush allows for a more thoroughly cleaning than just masking horrible morning breath. if you forgot to floss the night before pick between your teeth using the other end and get that funk out yo face.price: ~$2.00 at Target (prices vary by store)
Old Spice Red Zone After Hours:use: it’s deodorant… but seriously pick an extra stick up and dedicate it for those days you’re not so fresh-out-the shower. Using the same deodorant for after shower and after workout will rub all the sweat onto the stick, and that stays there for the next time you apply, so dedicate one for after showers, and one for any other time. Go for a NON antiperspirant. Antiperspirant deodorant clogs pores, hence less sweating, but you’re keeping all of those toxins locked into your body. Sweating is our bodies way of naturally detoxing.price: $3.99 at Target (in store only)
Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets:use: instantly soak up excess oil and remove shine from your face. Softer than paper, these silky sheets can be used easily around your nose and other area of your face. Use them anytime, anywhere to remove oil and shine throughout the day. Perfect for when you wake up late and your face is a little too oily, but you don’t have time for a full wash, just run this all over your face and watch as the strip turns transparent.price: $4.49 at Target
**Forget trying to put together a look, throw on a gym outfit, and some running shoes (people won’t know you overslept, and they’ll think you look that good after a workout)

Eli Manning may be this year’s Superbowl MVP, but Blake Shelton takes the prize for Most Stylish Person. Singing “America the Beautiful” with Miranda Lambert, his beautiful layering and color coordination easily outshone his shaky singing. We’re still trying to recall if we’ve ever seen someone make a vest more masculine.

Let’s be real: we knew Jack White wasn’t quitting the music scene with the disbanding of the White Stripes. In under four months, on April 24, he drops solo album Blunderbuss via Columbia Records. And until then, we have at least one single to hold us over.
Love Interruption is everything that made White Stripes great but in completely different form. Jack White’s voice is as distinctive as always, he’s using guitar, and he’s backed by a female singer. But for a large part, that’s where similarities end.
The repetition of the line “I won’t let love” evokes Rihanna’s We Found Love and the instrumentation is on the softer, acoustic side. He wrote and produced the album entirely himself; it has “nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas.”
Hopefully its B-side, Machine Gun Silhouette, which comes with the physical release of Love Interruption, will further match up to expectations.

White’s style is another story. Distinct maybe, but his fashion statement usually resembles a mix of gothic black leather, unflattering fedoras (isn’t that redundant?), and atrocious haircuts. Occasionally though, he gets things right. How you can draw inspiration from his style:

Well-fitting, black leather jackets. Especially bombers. Ralph Lauren does it right.

Classic patterns and well-tailored jackets. We especially love the breast pockets on this one. As our friends at Esquire say, a tailored man is a wealthy man.

Quick Snack #2: Caprese Sliders
Preparation: cut your choice of bread in half (cheddar-herb pictured), toast and drizzle with balsamic vinegar, top with sliced tomatoes, and mozeralla cheese (for a true caprese, don’t forget the basil)
Health Benefits:
Mozerella Cheese: One ounce of low-fat mozzarella cheese provides 22% of the daily value for calcium along with 13% of the DV for phosphorus.
Basil: Orientin and vicenin are two water-soluble flavonoids that have been of particular interest in basil, and in studies on human white blood cells; these components of basil protect cell structures as well as chromosomes from radiation and oxygen-based damage
Tomatoes: Fresh tomatoes and tomato extracts have been shown to help lower total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglycerides. In addition, tomato extracts have been shown to help prevent unwanted clumping together (aggregation) of platelet cells in the blood - a factor that is especially important in lowering risk of heart problems like atherosclerosis.
Balsamic Vinegar: When used in place of other dressings or marinades that are more fattening, it results in a lower calorie intake. Balsamic vinegar also works to suppress the body’s appetite and increase the amount of time it takes for the stomach to empty, which can contribute to weight loss by preventing overeating.

Knee-length shorts: Plain, flat front, no-frills available in six colors ($29.99 via Red Kap)
